このたび、京都・嵯峨小倉山にて「元永定正展 SADAMASA MOTONAGA」を開催いたします。
元永定正（1922–2011）は、戦後日本の前衛芸術を象徴する「具体美術協会」のメンバーとして知られ、偶然性と自然現象を取り入れた独自の表現で国内外から高い評価を受けました。
また、絵本『もこもこもこ』『がちゃがちゃ どんどん』『ころ ころ ころ』などは、世代を超えて愛されています。
2013年にはグッゲンハイム美術館で開催された「GUTAI」展に参加し、同年のサザビーズ・オークションでは作品が1億円近くで落札されるなど、国際的にも注目を集めている作家です。
本展では、長さ3mを超えるポーセリンボード作品をはじめ、セラミック作品、版画などを展示いたします。ぜひこの機会に、元永定正の世界をご体感ください。
